Blogger SUCKS!

So I am trying to convert my blogger data to wordpress. In order to do that I have to export my ftp blogger data from my domain to a blogger hosted address. Once that is done I can install wordpress on my site and re-import my blog from blogger to my site. The migration tool that blogger developed has bugs in it and I along with 100's of others are having to wait until they figure out what the fuck is wrong. So my new site is on hold until further notice. Meanwhile I have some new stuff to post... so enjoy!

Out With The Old - In With The New (blog)

OK, after years of using Blogger I am now making the move to publish the Blog O' Rama using WordPress. Why? Two reasons. One is I want to be able to custom code my site so it can look more up-to-date, with really cool graphics, widgets and Java shit. Second, Blogger will no longer support FTP bloggers cause they claim we take up all their bandwidth (which is probably true). So hang in there and in a few days you will see a new and vastly improved Blog!

The First Time I Ever Got Shocked

Back in the 60's they use to have these vacuum tube testing machines in your local grocery store. You could put your old tube in the correct socket, flip the switch and see if it needed replacing. I soon learned that if you put your fingers across several sockets at the same time you could get a nasty shock. Needless to say I only did it once!

MySpace, Twitter, and Facebook are now Fucked

Over the last few years I have grown tired of all the social networking sites. It used to be fun but it has all become so mundane. I really don't need to know that you are getting gas right now, or your new favorite band is ready to release their first CD. Now when a Republican Senator can tweet you to say that they are happy the Olympics were awarded to Rio instead of Chicago.. I gotta leave.

It has had it's run and I'm done.

R.I.P. GeoCities

GeoCities, a free Web hosting service that achieved fame in the mid-90s, died Thursday at the Yahoo headquarters in Silicon Valley. GeoCities was 15 years old.

GeoCities had suffered a long and drawn-out battle with its health over the past decade. An antiquated service model and outdated technology are widely blamed for the struggle. An official cause of death, however, has yet to be determined.

GeoCities is survived by two cousins, Angelfire and Tripod, along with an Uncle, Jeeves. All three are believed to be terminally ill.

Why do Old People Love Twitter?

To a person with short-term memory loss, Twitter serves a vital function. Every time the user announces, Going across the street to get ice cream, they notify not only their 30,000-odd followers, but they also establish a record for themselves. When they end up across the street wondering why they are staring at a pint of Haagen-Dazs, they need only check their Twitter status for the magical answer. And then they can tweet about their ice cream, which is important too!

Cell phone burns Dutch woman's face

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) -- A Dutch woman who dropped her cell phone suffered serious burns after it burst into flames when she tried to make a call, police said Thursday. The woman, who wasn't identified, turned the Nokia phone on after it had fallen and held it up to her ear.

"She was treated on site by health workers for facial burns,'' police spokesman Eric Vermeulen said. "I'm not a technical expert, but we assume it caught fire due to a short circuit.'' Reacting on Dutch television, a Nokia official said the fire was caused by the phone battery, which was not manufactured by Nokia.

This re-affirms my conviction that too much talking on the phone is definitely unhealthy!
